Warm design for real living.

benssur Architects is a team of architects and designers combining substantial experience across many project types with a shared commitment to warm, considered residential design for real living.

Experience across many scales.

Our experience spans residential, museum and hospital projects, from nationally significant commissions to highly detailed private work. That breadth has developed an understanding of complexity, collaboration, technical requirements and the many people involved in bringing architecture into being. It also informs how we listen carefully, coordinate teams and resolve detail with consistency.

A shared love of homes.

We are especially drawn to residential work because architecture is felt directly in everyday life: in light, privacy, comfort, gathering, storage, materials, garden and how a home adapts over time. We aim to make homes warm, practical and particular to the people who live in them.

How we work.

We diagnose the brief, site conditions, budget, planning context and open questions; explore genuinely different spatial directions; test them against agreed criteria; and resolve the strongest direction through professional judgement. The process remains imaginative, evidence-informed, collaborative and human.

Residential focus.

We work across renovations, extensions, new homes, interiors and selected object-based commissions, with particular interest in projects where careful decisions can improve how people live over time.

Registered and professionally connected.

We are a registered architectural practice with the Architects Registration Board of Victoria (ARBV) and an A+ member of the Australian Institute of Architects (AIA).
